Ergonomics is the science of designing and arranging workspaces, tools, and tasks to fit the user's needs, promoting efficiency, safety, and comfort. The goal of ergonomics is to reduce the risk of injury or discomfort by optimizing the interaction between people and their environment. This includes considering factors such as posture, movement, and the layout of equipment to ensure that work can be performed in a way that minimizes physical strain and maximizes productivity.
We focus on how different systems within the body interact and work together, emphasizing a holistic approach to health. The goal is to enhance daily performance, prevent chronic issues, and improve quality of life through personalized strategies that may include nutrition, exercise, stress management, and lifestyle adjustments.
Together, functional nutrition and medicine impact health by promoting a holistic understanding of the body, encouraging proactive, personalized care that can lead to better health outcomes and enhanced overall function.
The goal of healthy aging is to minimize the risks of chronic diseases, maintain independence, and promote a sense of purpose and fulfillment in later years. By focusing on these areas, individuals can enhance their ability to function well, stay active, and enjoy a high quality of life as they age.
Health coaching focuses on behavior change and sustainable habits, encouraging clients to take an active role in their health journey. By fostering motivation and self-awareness, health coaches help clients overcome obstacles, build confidence, and make lasting improvements to their physical, mental, and emotional health.
Together, strength and biomechanics contribute to functional health by ensuring that the body moves efficiently, remains resilient to physical stress, and maintains the ability to perform tasks effectively throughout life.
Functional wellness is about optimizing the body's natural functions and overall well-being, rather than just addressing symptoms. It focuses on how different systems within the body interact and work together, emphasizing a holistic approach to health. The goal is to enhance daily performance, prevent chronic issues, and improve quality of life through personalized strategies that may include nutrition, exercise, stress management, and lifestyle adjustments.
In a wellness coaching context, functional wellness means guiding clients to understand and improve how their bodies function as a whole. This involves identifying and addressing the root causes of health challenges, creating sustainable habits, and supporting clients in achieving their best physical, mental, and emotional health. Through this approach, clients can experience increased energy, better movement, enhanced mental clarity, and a stronger sense of well-being.
Functional wellness empowers individuals to take an active role in their health journey, making informed choices that lead to long-term vitality and resilience.
The program is self-paced, so you can complete it at your pace! Working individuals can complete the program in approximately 6 weeks. It normally costs $1499 for the Health Coach and Functional Wellness Practitioner Certification. Prices have gone up on so many things, your career education shouldn't be as expensive as other health coaching institutions (while you receive education on fewer topics!).
